Effortless Massage with Sarah Hoare
Effortless Massage lets us work effectively, efficiently and enjoyably. It asks us to create the space within ourselves, and within our treatments, to allow relaxation and positive change to occur from the inside out. It requires embodying the qualities we seek to elicit from our clients. And what’s not to love about working feeling calm, relaxed, confident and spacious?
In this 2-hour workshop we will specifically engage with time and pace – exploring the power of the pause and the use of strategic stillness for the benefit of us and our clients.
We will begin with a gentle physical warm up, loosening and preparing our bodies for massaging, then play with some skills and drills to slow down, develop our presence, and deepen our comfort with a more minimalist approach to massage.
Effortless massage says, “doing less allows more to happen”.
This is for you if you’re ready to take things easy with an easy conscience.
Let’s explore!
Sarah Hoare
Sarah Hoare brought bodywork into her life 2001, training in Holistic Massage with BCMB.
soon became a teacher andsupervisor and has devoted almost a quarter of a century to sharing the mystery that is massage. Her biggest frustration remains the difficulty to put into words the heart-opening, soul-feeding, vibration-raising nature of the work… but she keeps trying and will, one day, unleash her notebooks of ramblings.
Throughout this time Sarah has practiced chi kung and tai chi and is grateful for the ways these disciplines influence her work. Similarly, ten years of practicing hypnotherapy has enriched her understanding and appreciation of relaxation and the change process.
